Head lice infestations (Pediculus humanus capitis) are spread most commonly by close person-to-person contact. Dogs, cats, and other pets do not play a role in the transmission of human lice. Lice move by crawling; they cannot hop or fly. Both over-the-counter and prescription medications are available for treatment of lice infestations. More information is at the CDC lice page.
Directions: Shake bottle then spray on hair, behind ears/back of neck, shoulder area (on clothes) and upper half of backpacks. If skin sensitivity is unknown, spray external clothing instead of directly on skin. Avoid eyes and very young children's hands.
Caution: Product may irritate skin. Keep out of reach of children; supervise when using. DEET sprays are more effective at repelling bugs and ticks than natural sprays. If you are considering pregnancy or currently pregnant, consult your doctor about choosing bug repellent.
Ingredients: Distilled water, Melaleuca/tea tree (Melaleauca alternifolia), rosemary (Rosemarinus officinalis), lemongrass (Cymbopogon flexuosus) and peppermint (Mentha peperita) essential oils and rosemary extract (natural preservative).
